Numeracy Skills – Everyday Numbers & Maths (QQI Level 2)

Are numbers or calculations a challenge for you?

This course focuses on improving your math skills for everyday life or work. Whether it’s your first step back into education or you have less than a Junior Certificate, this course is designed for you.

The small group setting ensures a comfortable pace, and the learning environment is friendly, welcoming, and confidence-boosting.

The course covers:
• Common math terminology
• Math symbols (+, -, =, ×, and more)
• Problem-solving techniques
• Practical math skills like budgeting, distances, and costs
• Proper use of a calculator, and lots more.

Education Requirements
No formal education or qualifications are required although applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 1 when accessing a Level 2 programme.

Learning Aptitude
Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.


Previous Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an elementary range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course and be able to work under direction.
