The Wexford Adult Education Centre is located at Westgate (beside the old Wexford Co. Council Building).
The centre caters for 80 full-time VTOS students, as well as BTEI (part time), Adult Guidance, Literacy and ESOL provision. Courses on offer may vary from year to year depending on the needs and interests of incoming students. All courses offer nationally and internationally recognised qualifications.
The centre provides a supportive environment for learners who wish to return to education at any stage of their adult lives. All Levels are catered for and you will be welcomed regardless of age, sex, educational background or ability. You will have the chance to update your education and skills and will be assisted on to further education or into employment. Maybe you want to help your children with their homework. Maybe you want to meet like-minded adults. Whatever your motivations, VTOS might be your solution.

Office Skills – QQI Level 4
Course Overview:
This course covers the basics of Office Skills and ensures the learner is comfortable using computers and has good IT Skills. This programme provides a fantastic stepping stone to further study within the extensive portfolio of programmes within Wexford VTOS.

Course Overview:
This programme embraces the diversification of Irish society. The focus in this programme is for learners to gain a recognised qualification in a supportive environment where English language development is a primary aim.

Sport and Recreation – Strength and Conditioning – QQI Level 5
Course Overview:
Graduates of this programme will gain a major award in Sports, Recreation and Exercise. On top of this graduates will get the opportunity to gain the internationally accredited ITEC Gym Instruction award. This will allow them to gain employment in the fitness industry here or abroad.

Community Health Services – Sports Injury Rehabilitation – QQI Level 5
Course Overview:
Graduates of this programme will gain a major award in Sports, Recreation and Exercise. On top of this graduates will get the opportunity to gain the internationally accredited ITEC Sports Massage Award as well as the Taping and Strapping Award. This will allow graduates work independently as match first aiders or progress to Further Education.

Accounting Technicians Ireland – Year 1
Course Overview:
This award works to combine professional exams and assessments with practical work experience. The MIATI designation is the first thing employers will look for when recruiting Accounting Technicians.
