Music Generation Wexford and the Yellow Bellows were thrilled to be invited to Ceiliúradh na Nollag hosted by President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina at Áras an Uachtaráin on Saturday December 14th. President Higgins gave a heartfelt speech on the day, pleased to welcome all his invitees but in particular the children and noted this would be his last Christmas as president of Ireland. He spoke of the challenges going on in our country as well as around the world but also spoke about our common humanity and peace at Christmas time. Meaningful songs were chosen for this part of the day, ending with Happy Christmas (War is Over).
The Yellow Bellows performed a number of songs for the President and all who attended throughout the event. A wonderful day was had by all.
