Autodesk Revit – Lismore Fablab
This course aims to provide learners with an introduction to BIM (Building Information Modelling), and the fundamental skills and related knowledge in the application of Revit Software. It has been designed to deliver Revit training relevant to the Architectural sector, by demonstrating and practicing Revit modelling techniques, and presenting designs with Revit views and documentation. This course delivers entry-level Revit knowledge and experience to prepare learners for using Revit in a professional context in the Architectural sector.

Knowledge of technical drawing would be a distinct advantage. It is essential that candidates have good computer skills; which includes file management and ideally the use of 2D CAD (computer aided design) software.
Age Requirements
Learners must have reached the statutory school leaving age
Learning Aptitude
Good spatial aptitude and good form perception are essential, as are good numerical and literacy skills. Candidates must have a good understanding of the English language as all training and the exam will be provided through English.

Previous relevant 2D CAD experience is desirable.

-Navigate the Revit User Interface
-Set up a Revit Project
-Use Revit Elements e.g. levels, grids, etc.
-Use Revit Components to create a 3D model, including modify/customise existing components and create new components, e.g. walls, doors, windows, etc.
-Present your model using various views and documentation, e.g. plans, elevations, sections, 3D views, schedules, etc.
