Interior Design with Architectural Drawing & Computer Aided Design Yr 2
Programme Aim: The learner will be taught the practical interior design skills of painting and refurbishing, the use of colour and light and the creation of design and mood boards. Computer Aided Design (Sweet Home, Sketch -Up and Adobe) and Architectural Drawing are particularly relevant to learners who wish to prepare a portfolio for third level.
Work Placement is in the second year of the programme which gives the students an opportunity to apply their skills in an interior and retail environment.
LEO sponsored “Start Your Own Business” and Social Media workshops are also available in the second year.

Start Date: 08-09-2025 Hours/week: 22 Hrs 00 Mins Duration: 38 weeks
NFQ Level 4 or equivalent when accessing a Level 5 programme.
CERFL proficiency at B2 for access to Level 5 courses for those whose first language is not English
Mature learner entry requirements available via the local ETB pathway

Interior Design graduates will have the skills, knowledge and competency to find employment in interior design businesses and retail.
Interior Design graduates, can progress under the Higher Education Links Scheme, to SETU programmes in BSc(H) in Architectural & Building Information Modelling Technology; BSc in Architectural Technology; Bachelor of Architecture (Hons.) or the BA (Hons.) in Design (Visual Communications).
