Skills to Compete – Basic Industrial Sewing Technician
The aim of the course is to provide learners with the skill, knowledge and competencies to successfully enter the commercial sewing workforce.
Successful completion of this course will enable learners to be competent in commercial sewing skills.

Start Date: 30-09-2024 Hours/week: 31 Hrs 15 Mins Duration: 21 weeks
No formal education or qualifications are required although applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 2 when accessing a Level 3 course.

Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age.

Ability to acquire knowledge and skills as set out in the course.
An aptitude for good eye to hand co-ordination

Craft Sewing
Operate a variety of industrial sewing machines and have a good understanding and competence in commercial sewing skills.
