WX Bridging Programme L4
Programme Aim
The overall aim of the programme is to provide the learner with the opportunity to participate in and contribute
to modern society, to pursue a range of employment opportunities or to progress to further education and/or
training. Participation on this programme will also assist the learner to develop the language, literacy and
numeracy skills related to various social and economic settings through the medium of the various themes
covered in the constituent components.
There are 9 modules in this programme. Upon successful completion of 9 programme modules the learner may achieve the required 90 credits for a Level 4 QQI major award. Modules are : Communications, IT Skills, Teamwork, Word Processing, Business English, Computer Applications, Functional Maths and Career Preparation.

Applicants should have a standard of knowledge, skill and competence equivalent to NFQ Level 3 when accessing a Level 4 programme. Applicants may have participated in primary and secondary education although no formal qualifications are required.

Learning Aptitude
Applicants must have a motivation to learn, an interest in the subject and the ability to acquire the knowledge, skills and competencies set out in the course.
Previous Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a moderate range of knowledge, skills and competencies relevant to the course, be able to work under direction with some ability to work on their own initiative.
